Customising Your Home Screen

Your home screen is fully yours to arrange. If adding, removing, or moving rows isn’t obvious at first, this page walks you through it. Everything below lives in Settings → Home & Interface.

Home rows explained

Your home screen is made up of rows stacked top to bottom: Continue Watching, your libraries, Trending, your Watchlist, collections, and more. You decide which rows appear and in what order.

The key idea

Rows aren’t fixed. If your home screen is missing something you want, or showing things you don’t, you add and remove rows yourself. Nothing is added automatically beyond the starting defaults.

Choosing which rows appear

Go to Settings → Home & Interface → Home Rows. You’ll see two things:

• On Your Home: the rows currently showing, in order.
• The number of other rows available to add.

Add a row

1. In Home Rows, tap Add Rows.
2. Browse or search the list. This includes your libraries on each server, Continue Watching, Watchlist, Trending, Trailers, collections, and more.
3. Switch on any row you want. Each one you switch on becomes its own row and is added to the bottom of your home screen.
4. Go back to Home Rows to reorder them (see below).

Don’t add too many

Each separate row loads its own content. Switching on a large number of rows will make your home screen slower to load. Add the ones you actually use.

Remove a row

In Home Rows, switch off any row under On Your Home. It disappears from your home screen immediately but stays available to add back later.

Reorder rows

In Home Rows, drag any row to move it up or down. The order here is the exact order they appear on your home screen, top to bottom.

Shelf mode: keep your home screen short

If you like a lot of rows but don’t want a long home screen, use a Shelf Row. Instead of each row taking up its own space, everything is grouped into a single row that you open to browse. It’s the tidiest way to keep many categories without endless scrolling.

You’ll find the shelf option in the Add Rows screen.

Presets and resetting

If you’d rather not build your layout row by row, use Presets (Home Rows → Presets):

• Applying a preset switches rows on or off for you. The order of any rows you keep is left as it is.
• Reset to Default returns every row to how it starts on a new install and turns shelf mode off. Your current choices are discarded.

The hero banner

The large featured banner at the top of the home screen is the Hero section. Turn Show Hero Section on or off in Home & Interface to suit your taste.

How cards look

Under Global Card Settings you can change how every poster and card looks across the app:

• Card shape: Poster, Square, Standard, or Compact.
• Show Progress Bar, Show Watched Badge, and Show Quality Badge on cards.
• Image quality: smaller images load faster and use less bandwidth; higher detail looks sharper on large displays but uses more.

Appearance

Choose your look under Appearance:

• Pure Black is best for OLED displays, giving true blacks.
• Graphite uses a subtle dark-gray gradient across the app.

Other handy toggles

A few more options in Home & Interface worth knowing about:

• Instantly Play: tapping a Continue Watching card starts playback right away. Turn it off to open the detail page first instead.
• Play Theme Songs: play a title’s theme music while you browse it.
• Hide Episode Spoilers: hides episode thumbnails and descriptions for unwatched episodes.
• Prefer Media Server Artwork: use your server’s backdrops on detail pages instead of Zuno’s default artwork.

If a row looks empty

If you add rows and they appear empty, open your home screen first so Zuno can load your content, then return to settings. Some rows only populate once the home screen has loaded them.
